2JZ mani stud question
Hey guys,
I only ask you guys because I trust this community will know best of all of the communities I am involved with.
I have an RZ here destined for 1000whp and At this stage I just have to bolt it together for the guy and fab his IC and intake pipework.
Long story short the only real question I have is regarding the manifold to turbo studs.
Neither the manifold(ebay, repaired eleventy times) nor the turbo(GTX42r) have threads, both are drilled at 11mm (approx).
I have metal gaskets supplied. This is intended to run at 800whp on this first setup for a few passes until the manifold fails again and then along with a full motor build a new manifold will be made for it.
So the question is basically, with a turbo this big and heavy do I just use 10x1.5mm grade 12.9 Bolts or do I tap the manifold and run inconel... or what?
