Default 305cc injector issue

I recently attempted to install a set 305cc injectors (green top) into my stock 90 1.6 miata. No computer mods. The number 2 injector began to flood the engine. I replaced it with another and the same thing happened, yet when I went back to the stock injectors everything ran fine. My fpr was set to 45psi. When removed that 305cc injector I could physically push air straight through it with no resistance. So I tried attaching it to just the plug and it cycled fine and now I cant blow through it anymore. So I know that particular injector is working fine. What could have caused it to stay open?

Did you have the injectors cleaned and tested? Could be that in the working position a piece of crap is holding it open.

Default Injector

Well the person I purchased them from said that they were tested and cleaned. However can the stock 1990 1.6 ECU work with the 305cc injectors? Or does it require ecu upgrades?

They work fine, sounds like the injector is sticking.

My 92 idled those injectors with no problems at 14.7, cruising at stoich was another story.

Did the seller provide you with the papers of the cleaning - testing for proof?

So with 305cc injectors run lean or run rich at cruising. Im going to probly run this same setup till I get an MS. Mine is a white 1990 as well with an FM kit.
So basically all I have to do is install 326cc injectors and it will still run. I have an MSD timing retard, If I set my timing to 10 I should run 9-10 psi with adjusting my fpr and watching my A/F. I should have a strong clutch that came with the turbo motor.
Any tips? Or extra?

305cc injectors run rich at cruise, because they flow more fuel. With 326cc injectors, you might have to mess with the air flow meter's idle a/f mix for it to idel nicely.

My 305cc injectors ran around 12-13 AFRs while cruising until I leaned out cruise enough with Emanage that the stock NB sensor could keep them oscillating 14-15.

Toddcod what fpr are you running? I've got the begi afpr and couldn't keep from running pig rich (9s) on the bottom and top end without encountering a dangerous lean spot in the mid range. To fix this I use Emanage blue.

Edit: Cardriverx you frickin ninja!

I have the same one as MightyMouse.. I haven't bought my injectors yet. Im going to U-pull it Tues. If they don't work good I can exchange. I have a set of RC 550cc injectors for when I get MS. I guess I need to do some more research and figure out how to adjust the a/f idle mix.
If there is no more abillity to boost with 326cc or worst highway mpg than I'll just buy the 305cc. What do you think?
