Chamfer just makes everything look more better. I love using christmas tree bits because it make all my holes look pretty.

A customer of mine in Canada did the later Viper head machining of the ports and chambers. Everything was specified including the stepover based on the FEA modeling. Once they were cut, no further processing was allowed (I.E. sanding or other abrasive tooling). Each head/chamber/port could be replicated. Amazing what you can do with a machine tool today.

God damn Tim, that is amazing. I'm so jealous right now I may have soiled myself.

I got out of machine work about 2003 or so and it was damn amazing what we were doing even back then. The newer machines with the built in CMMs and automatic edge finders must be a dream to work with. You haven't lived until you've had to manually set zero offsets on everything in a 80 station changer.

Yes, sweet baby jesus please. It makes my fingers tingle just to look at those edges. My boss would have murdered me had I cut that and turned it in for QC.

Don't sand the runners. Tell people they are boundary layer turbulators and that they reduce the thickness of the boundary layer as well as reducing its impact on flow velocity.

The engineer in me agrees, but I also don't want my intake noise to include tones reminding me of these:

'Cause, ya know, I spin 1000000 rpm

Do this. But delete all these posts to hide any knowledge of it.

Here's some quick screenshots of the current model Matt.

Window the aluminum top, step the Lexan so it fits in and on top of the cover. Use a gasket around the top, and carefully use a heat gun to form the Lexan. Nice hardware screws the window onto the tapped top. Hell, I'd want a window AND mood lighting on that work of art.

Yeah, duh. My bad.

More pics. I'm done machining, flanges, fuel rails, intake. I plan to take off some days next week and get her back together.

That's going to work poorly without a throttlebody...

I need to find a camera person for a video. I think setting up a tripod on a back road may be suspicious. That's my story.
