Default Air/water inter cooler question

I had a few questions about air/water intercoolers...
1) has anyone here tried air/water setup?

2) do you think there would be any benefit to puting a water jacket over the pipes between the TB and turbo (obviously running the water through a heat exchanger)?

3) (for you guys that have strut tower braces) how much room is there between the valve cover and the top end of the brace on a '91? i was thinking of doing something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LIQUI...spagenameZWDVW i need to know how much room is between the valve cover and hood.

from what i understand the air only gets as cool as your coolant does, and isn't as efficient as air to air

usually, it has its own dedicated water system. That way it can still be ambient temperature. You can even put ice in it to get below ambient.
