Default Anyone hear from Kraken recently?

Anyone hear from Kraken, or receive any parts from them recently?

I ordered a manifold/downpipe from them about 5 weeks ago, and at the time was told it would "hopefully" ship the following week. Since that time, no response to email, FB messages, or the contact form on their site.

The wait time isn't that big a deal, and understand sometimes things take longer than you estimated, but the lack of communication is troubling. Wondering if anyone has had any recent interactions?

He posted on fb he would be out of the office for 10 days on the 9th.

And my order from him took over 4 months, so dont hold your breath.

Thanks for the info on the FB post, I missed that. He was incommunicado prior to the 9th, however. Due back tomorrow so we'll see. Just looking for a no BS update on my order.

I hope it doesn't take 4 months. I wasn't in a hurry when I ordered in July, but I will be if it drags out to September.

It's excellent quality stuff and well worth the wait, IMO. I think my order took 3 months to get to me, and that was pre-pandemic.

No question.

I have no issues waiting, all I ask of a vendor is an honest estimate of shipping time, even "I don't know" if that's what it is. That and communication if the original estimate is missed.

The more you order, the more chance something isn’t in stock or has to be fabricated. When I ordered my downpipe and manifold, showed up in 2 weeks from Bulgaria or wherever he is to US west coast.

I ordered a manifold from him when he first got started. I was willing to wait for however long it took and was pleasantly surprised when it took about 4-5 weeks. That was way back before people figured out just how good his stuff is. Now, this makes me a little bit concerned because I've been eyeing that low-mount manifold. I hope I haven't waited too long!

I ordered just a manifold 6-7 weeks ago. I was told two weeks before it shipped, 0 response to emails since. Im in no rush, but after the Trackspeed debacle I get nervous about these things

Dunno about you blokes, but I got my manifold/dump about exactly when he said I would., about a week/10 days ago, maybe ordered a month ago?.

Must be the Aussie accent ...

Just been down to the workshop, mine was posted 4/8, so probably about a week in transit give or take.

I imagine cast parts would take time to be delivered too if not in stock since it makes more sense to manufacture several of these at once (eg. >=5) since it takes time to get everything booked and setup in the foundry.
If that is the case, it would make more sense for him to make the kits available only when he has enough buyers (or maybe 4 so that he can have one in stock if the limit is 5).

It just takes time to make everything. And chances are, if he told you a week, and it didn't come, it's probably because he turned down a batch of cast parts from the foundry. He's very particular about that. If he doesn't feel like they're up to par, he has another batch made. That takes time. I found he was best reached via fb. I believe my kit took about 3 months to come in. Was I told it would ship "next week", or something like that? Yes. But he was also straight up, and told me when he was revising the manifold design and asked if I wanted the old design now, or if I wanted to wait two weeks for a batch of the revised manifolds to come in. I chose the latter, and it looks great. Just be patient. He's a one man band.

+1 on what has already been stated; have a bit more patience. Sometimes things do move slowly, but well worth it. They are honest people and the quality of their parts is amazing.

Hes a good dude, its just him and nobody else that runs the company. Patience is key and the parts are so good its worth the wait.

I’m glad to see this thread. I’ve had an order since 06/07/2021. The lack of emails response was starting to concern me. I’ll sit back and wait. Thanks.

Also - remember the European culture about summer holiday is RADICALLY different than North America. When they take vacation they're gone a LONG time and they totally disconnect - so if either he or his suppliers are OOO then culturally, that's encouraged there.

Just wanted to update this to say that I finally received my order in mid-September. Of course I got the shipping notification the day before we left for a two week trip, so I had to have a friend grab it off the porch while we were gone.

for Kraken's great product at a reasonable price.
for Kraken's communication during the process.

When did you put in the order? I’ve been waiting for a complete turbo kit since early June. Thanks.

In the first post... early July. But my order was just manifold/downpipe, not a full kit.
