I bought the same manifold with the ceramic coating and got the same responses. I emailed them every week and after 5 weeks it finally arrived. I had to cut some of the self to fit my GTX2863r and 3" vband downpipe. If i could go back and do it again I wish I would have just been patient and gotten an artech manifold. I talked to Abe and he couldn't start mine til after april, and I was anxious to install the turbo, and since I wasn't going efr, i figured the begi would do alright. Good luck with your build!

It completely baffles me that a company that is managed so poorly and has such a shit supply chain can still exist after all these years of having issues.

Because the kids shop on $$$ not on VALUE.

If only there was a reasonably priced turbo setup designed around a stock engine...

In this case, whatever is left of the company simply relies on past accomplishments and reputation built 15-20 years ago to appear legitimate.

Thats exactly what it is. and people like me that just assume they were good because theyve been around forever and a few of my friends use their products, without doing my reseaching and pulling the trigger on stuff to soon.

I've wonder this for YEARS. Corky Bell, knows more about turbo systems, than anyone in this hemisphere; unfortunately BEGi can't build for shit!

Corky Bell USED to know a lot. Back in the 80's/90's. I mean no disrespect at all when I say: he's completely clueless these days, and couldn't care less about his company.

Designing & engineering a good turbocharger system is a very different skill set from running a small business.

Huh? The man worked with Lockheed "skunk works" in the 70's and 80's. The principles of turborcharging are still the same, only the hardware has changed, as with anything and everything. Bell still knows a great deal.

Agreed 100%, and in that Bell and BEGi have failed MISERABLY!

Yep, Corky is a great guy, and I still don't buy from them even though they are an hour drive from me. My first kit missing things was reason enough. Lucky I was a resourceful guy and fixed most of it myself, but It wasn't like everything showed up in a box ready to go. I had to drive up there and get a part or two they forgot to ship. Plus, I have seen some ass backwards tunes with gaping holes in the fuel map and too much advance. I know another member on here spent hours fixing one of our friends tunes from there. So put simply, even though it is an hours drive from me, I don't do it. Plus, my fabrication skills have gotten such that unless I need tig welded stainless car porn, I can pretty much take care of it myself.

All that remains of said kit is the manifold anyways, I am pretty sure the damn thing would survive a nuclear bomb. I'm surprised they don't have them stocked.

Just like the principles of internal combustion engines are "still the same" now vs 50 years ago?

Skunk works, was working on stealth, as far back as the early 60's. Theories that couldn't be proven or built until the rest of the supporting technologies caught on in the late 80's. Believe what you want, I bet the man saw, witnessed or worked on technology that has yet to be released to the market, for a variety of reasons.

That Bell is a terrible builder, business owner and unfortunately, a charlatan of businessman, that is unquestionable.

Reminds me of this. But you could use this and have ecool on each cylinder as well.

ridethecliche 05-13-2017 12:50 AM

The highest delivery port proved consistently 1.0082 higher than the mean measured. Oddly coincidental, the lowest delivery port was .9918 of the mean. We figured this was none too shabby and cast the whole configuration in stone. The definition of "mean" clearly establishes our numbers valid and near perfect. I hope I don't have to explain that anytime soon.
Sounds familiar.
