Default SOme drift video

I know some of you are not fans.
I just wanted to put up some vid from Sunday.
You can see me do well and do poorly LOL!!

I missed the ebrake when following the S14 and straightened like a dumb ***. Then I tried to take a super wide gangster line and met the wall. Dented the quarter panel pretty good. So that sucks.

Any way, I keep it on the track and this is my car in low boost trying to save the tranny. Its my 2nd event being turbo and not NA.
Initiations on the straight were in 3rd gear.

I hope you enjoy it.
I will work on some vid with no music so you ca hear how sick my car sounds...

At some point I will do a right up on my car and give all the props to MarkP for helping through my ******* nightmarish build
Now I have quite an animal in my garage..

denting **** always sucks. how about the rear wheel when you hit that mud any damage there? looks fun but we need some japanese drifters to show yall how its done.. i think your N/A stuff was better. maybe it is the recent turbo install. keep it up.

Thanks everyone.
Actually my turbo stuff if by far much more gnarly.
WAY faster, My initiations are some of the earliest at the event.

I think the spirit of NA makes it different. I miss it, but not really LOL!!

Dont sleep on US drifters. The S14 I tandemed against is a D1, FD, NOPI license Holder. So I did OK I Just made some mistakes I really usually dont.

We will see next time..

you definitively need to get used to the turbo, overall i think you did very well, so congrats...
keep doing your thing, no one minds if your legit, people just hate on the drift kiddies that are just posers and cant type nor spell, actual drifters dont get flamed on (well maybe a little bit)
so who won, i really like the white 240, seemed to get a lot of angle and lots of smoke

i also liked the green one without the front bumper, i think i've seen him on speed before, is thats him, props, young kid with no sponsor doing ita ll on his own and the 240 is his daily...but may not be him

No bumper 240 is my Teammate Matt Powers. He rocks. He is 20yrs now I think. He was on speed. He and I are both privateers. It sucks LOL

Tandem, its a game of cat and mouse.
You basically need to follow the person and stay on their line and show you can do what they can do better. That is done by staying on them and showing you would be faster taking their line. Cutting in on the line to shorten the distance is not so legit.
When leading, you want to be faster and have a more gangster line. Gangster, close to the wall, ***** out and close to the clipping points. make them not be able to hang with you.
Thats the simplest I can put it while at work and trying to hunt and peck these keys quickly.

The toughest part of that track set up is bombing the initiation and then having a legit transition and solid line to hit the second clip point.
Thats where the miata is kinda fucked a bit. It can have the super sick angle as easily as the 240 ect.. doing bombing in. It can be done, but its tough.
I just try and go fast and bomb initiations as fast as I can.

I also have too much - camber. I need adjustabel upper arms to add + camber so have more grip in the rear. I am also looking into bigger tires.

That looks hella fun. The only time I ever get that sideways is in the rain. When noone else is around of course.

Good drifting is always fun to watch. Very nice.

Can't say I haven't dabbled in it myself in the rain.

Hey Gangsta... Looking like you are having fun! You showed that wall!

Thanks for the mad props, but I just had the bad ideas, you implemented them!

Yeah, that is quite impressive how you and the other guys are handling their cars. Screw the dent, if it is a track car, it just shows that you are the real deal. ;-)

Nice job.. you seemed to be carrying more speed through your drifts then most of those guys. As for tandem, seems pretty ghey to me... if your car is faster that means you may need to brake check which can throw off your balance while sliding.. no?

dents/scratches, they are called "battle scars" lol

tandem is prolly the most fun to watch, its direct competition one next to another, not just relying on judges, which is why i hate judges

i'll admit, i tries my fair share of drifiting in industrial parking lots, lets just say its nowhere near as easy as you pros and semi-pros make it look, i do enjoy getting sideways in cold weather and/or rain, gives me a little rush, but its still not my thing

props to those dedicated enouht to it, i know i couldnt be

Tandem is about as exciting as synchronized swimming imo. I'd rather see a run based on lines and speed. An example is that guy in the Red Bull Solstice... I mean he is entertaining to watch because he can run the same lines 2x faster.
