Can you grab on to the remaining bolt with vice grips? Access to a welder?

I don't have a welder, I may be able to grab it with the vise grips. Do you need a specific bolt to use for the ground. This one seems to have a flat head on it (like a nail) and it's welded to the bracket.

I can't just throw a regular bolt on can I?

Relax man, no big problem here.
You should be able to use any bolt with the same thread.
To get the old one out, try vice grips if you can get to it, if not, sometimes beating it in with a flat head screwdriver works for me to get a line in it, and then just turn it out like a regular screw. there is some tool you can buy too just for this purpose.
Good luck and don't give up now.

Alright guys, thanks for the advise. I'll give that a try when I get back from my class tonight. Hopefully all goes well. I've really got to try to get some pics up of the progress.

it runs and boosts to 4psi and crawls into 5psi slightly. car feels fast and strong after a short session of tuning. just need to get that idle adjusted now and bov installed.

long day... worked nonstop for 12 hours on this car!

Damn that was a long day Urbansoot. Thanks man, there is no way it would be running without your help!

I drove it around this morning and it's running pretty well. It was running almost perfectly, but now I've got a bit of an idle problem that it wasn't doing before. It's idling around 2000 rpm.

Also I've got a bit of an oil leak but I can't see where it's actually coming from. I do have a minor leak or two, and it is just being accentuated.

I think I may take it to your buddy's shop to get the leaks fixed and clutch put in...

I've also got to try to figure out how to get that damn boost gauge working and some heat shielding around the turbo.

Car feels great though, at the low psi it's at, it at least feels like it's pretty quick(not fast). It has got a good amount of mid-range power.

Almost done...

alright...
At first I was running around with no bpv/bov and the compressor surge sounded awful. I just hooked up a new Forge bov and love the sound of it but, I still get noise out of the turbo.
I'm first getting a little compressor surge noise, then I get the "woosh" from the bov.

Any suggestions? Is this normal?

Also, a side note, I was having a little fun with a porshce carrera s the other night and second gear could not catch almost until redline, on my shift into third, my downpipe(slip-fit style) slipped out. I got a huge crazy POP sound and then my car sounded like a V8...
I'm going to remove it and get it welded together. Currently, I have the pipe back in, and "repaired" with those exhaust repair tape bandages, and mazdacomp motor mounts are on order...

It really drives damn near stock right now, just a lot more power...

are you talking about noise as in the whine of the turbo spinning, or the flutter noise from the bov?
