looks just like the Mishimoto rad to me. Who wants to guinea pig?

KPLAFIN 10-03-2008 02:41 PM

From what I've heard, they require a little bit of modification to fit just right. Try getting in touch with the guy (can't remember who it is right now but a search should turn his name up with no problem.) that can get mishimoto radiators. They're pretty cheap, supplied by a forum member, and have good feedback as far as quality and final fit go from people here that have them.

Looks alot like the Godspeed and the Mishimoto. Id say go for it.

Does anyone know if this rad is thicker, or as thick as the Godspeed , or Mishimoto?

If equivlant to GS or M... Ill get a refund for the Never arriving GS and buy this one...

Says 2 row, Whats the specs on the others.

ZX-Tex 10-03-2008 03:16 PM

+1 on CXRacing. I bought an intercooler from them as well and I am happy with it. I agree, go for it.

Is there a radiator dimensions chart comparing the width/height/thickness of the ten or so major aftermarket units and the various known stock pieces?

Anyody know the size of the stock manual and auto trans pieces of the various years?

jayc72 10-03-2008 03:42 PM

The GS rad is over 2", I think the core was something like 2 1/4. I'd say 2X a stock 1.6 manual rad.

Tremiata 10-03-2008 03:50 PM

The shipping on the 31x12x3 IC is $50 yet the 27x18x2.25 Radiator is $31. Guess it must be a heavy IC.

Atlanta93LE 10-03-2008 04:03 PM

I'd give that rad a try if I had a different IC setup, that didn't require lowering and tilting the rad.

Looking at it, There are some companies smart (GS, Mishimoto, CX) enough to source (the same) OEM stuff out of China and sell to us.

I don't doubt that the IC is heavier. The i/c is a tank.

leatherface24 10-03-2008 04:39 PM

Cool Im buying one now. Ill let you guys know how it is when I get it :)

Tremiata 10-03-2008 05:28 PM

I would email and ask if these are in stock ready to ship before ordering. (I have asked and waiting on a reply)

***UPDATE*** got a reply of "yes" so hopefully they have more than 1.

samnavy 10-03-2008 07:19 PM

I would want to know the exact size of the stock radiator so I wouldn't be pissed as hell when it showed up and was the exactly the same.

zoom2zoom 10-03-2008 07:20 PM

And this is DIY how??

Tremiata 10-03-2008 08:04 PM

Here is a link to another popular radiator site that should give an idea of the stock sizes. http://radiatorbarn.com

Turbo_4 10-08-2008 11:49 PM

I have this radiator and it is literally twice as thick as the stocker. So far it's been holding up.
