Default Cheap-o BOV?

So I need to find a BOV for my current build list. Obviously I want to be cheap and spend as little as possible, so in my searches I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Polis...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone have any experiences with this? Does it sound ok? Is it very loud?

If not, I will probably buy a Greddy RS knockoff since I have heard good things about that(but it is over double the price!).

And FYI, I will be running MS so I don't need to work about having to recirculate it. Thanks!!

when we got some piping shipped to my friend it had something very similar in looks to that one. it had awful compressor surge and leaked. if you want a cheap bov go with a dsm or somthing along the oem route

Greddy RS knockoffs are junk. I've tried 2 and the diaphragm was ripped in a week on both.

Use this...

Or this...

I was using the Ford bov inline for awhile running 14lbs. and never had a problem with it. The Bosch one is very similar. The sound is smooth with no wistle. "pshhhhhhhh" My RFL drives me nuts. "Pshhhhheeeeeee" I hate squeaky bovs.

Interesting to hear the RS knockoffs are bad, glad to know that now. Friend of mine actually has one of the SSQV knockoffs on his Miata, still works great after almost a year of use. I don't really want the shriek of the SSQV, and liked the sound of the RS. Do you think all the knockoffs are bad, or did you get lemons?

One last question, is there a site with a list of cars that has that Bosch valve from the factory? I wouldn't mind making a junkyard run to find one.

Also, anyone know anything about this Bosch replacement:

The SSQV sounds different depending on what divertor is in the end of it. My buddy has one in his Focus and I love it. Nice and clean, not too loud. As far as the Bosch bov, check Saab's, Audi's, BMW's, cars like that. Maybe VW as well. I really doubt it's a bad batch of bov's that we had. I think it's a design flaw as the piston the diaphragm attaches too has square edges. That's what keeps cutting the diaphragms. I've heard nothing but bad things about them. I have an extra Bosch around here somewhere. You can have it for $10 shipped if you want.

Unfortunately the type s knock off bov's you used to get for like $20 on ebay seem to have gone away, I have like 10K miles on mine and it still works fine.

I would check other forums like http://www.homemadeturbo.com/, and see what they are using.
