Hustler: did you figure out your main routing out the back of the head? The 1.6 cap fits perfectly and points to the i/t manifold side, horizontally (3:00 position, direction). Not sure why more people aren't just using one of these instead of chopping and welding the 1.8 cap ??

Isn't the problem with putting a temp sensor in the 99503 location is that it will only sense the temp after the thermostat (ie: when the thermostat is open? Hard to tell from that diagram, and it's been awhile since I looked at the back of the head. It should be very close to the temperature of the stock sensor which is what I am looking for. |

I would get/make an adapter plug. I can tell by looking that the plug thread is much larger than the sending unit, metric or not, so it will take an adapter regardless. Easy.

I'd still like to know the routing of the begi reroute, since I'm going to use the rest of the pipes and hoses to build it off the car with an intercooler pipe right in front of the rad flange.

I could take the car offline, pull the plug, figure out the threads, go find one, etc. But I want to know what the plug is so I do not have the car down while I am looking for one I can drill and tap. |

So the coolant leaves the back of the head, goes through the firewall into the heater core, through the core, comes back out of the firewall, runs into a bypass hose that runs around the back of the motor to the cold side, under the intake manifold, and up to the aforementioned tee in the upper radiator hose. Easy. |
i just want to know about the pipe on the side of the head, the front is plugged. I can't remember what all the shit looks like because I haven't seen it in 3 months.
