Default Dear MT, oil and coolant leakkkzzzz

Dear MT.net,

I am dealing with two leakzzzz, one coolant, one oil.

My coolant is leaking steadily and visibly. I am worried that it is my heater core - see picture below. It is leaking from behind the wheel well, and I cannot figure out what else it could be.

Secondly, I am dealing with an oil leak. I am using Abe's SS kit for coolant and oil - oil is leaking from the feed steadily. I tightened it down untill it felt snug, but not tight with a wrench (Inch lbs of torque at best - MAYBE mid-single digit ft lbs). Do I need to tighten the AN lines more than that? Note that the oil is coming from the fitting-fitting connection, not the fitting-block connection.

You should probably tighten the oil fitting with a wrench pretty snug. Just hold the wrench from the middle when you tighten so you don't overtighten

Got a ftlbs or inlbs # to go for by any chance? "Pretty snug" varies a lot I've found.

I think I'm SOL there then - tightened it more than half a turn past finger tight.

Yes, there is two coolant leaks. One in the engine bay, and one that has it leaking from the wheel well.

Update: Oil fitting was undertightened, other fittings were undertightened, causing all the leaks but one.

Picture included where the final coolant leak is. It is leaking from the circled area - bad hose?

Yeah, you need a new hose if it's leaking there.
