Default Different Injectors

I just got my 295cc Supra yell02-top injectors from RAIN and noticed one thing; they have the same terminal connections, however the gray plastic clip does line up. Do I just remove the gray clips on the wiring harness or do I grind down the tabs on the injectors so they can fit into the gray clip?

whatca-thank?

First thing you should check is the resistance for the injectors. If they are not the high resistance like stock you'll need balance resistors, so you should probably just wire in new connectors anyway....

If they are close to stock connector, you might be able to mod the stock harness. but remember, it's always good to have a "back-out" plan... <G>

I have the supra 305's and they were completely PnP for the harness and everything....

It's just the small little tabs on the sides of the injectors that prevent them from entering the connector, the terminals should line up no problem. They are high impedience as well.

Exclamation

Have you seen this link:

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/P...Injectors.html

The 295cc yellow tops from the 7M-GE are low impedance. Did you check the resistance?

I have low impedance injectors from the 7M-GTE, and am pretty sure that they require filing down the tabs on the injector. I haven't installed them yet, but from what I have read the high impedance connectors are fully plug and play and the low impedance require resistors and filing down the tabs.

I looked up the part numbers and they are high impediance. How would I test otherwise. filling down the tabs will make them fit for sure, sounds like that's the way to go.

Hmmm, they might be 3 ohms, hard to find concrete evidence. They are Nippon Denson # 23250-70040

I found this here theat shows both the yellow and green tops as high impedence
http://www.lextreme.com/7mge.html

but here shows them as 3 ohm.

Just measure them with a Known good DVM, then you'll know for sure...

from what I've been able to find, the 315cc and 295cc were both used in the Supra mk3 NA and are both HIGH impedence. But I'll test them tomorrow and see. Seems like a lot of people that use them have to trim the tabs off the inejctors.

I looked up the part number here, sorry Low Impedance:

http://www.witchhunter.com/FlowDataPix/d2325070040.jpg

fwiw, I got my resistors here for about 3 bucks each plus about 7 for shipping. Other places online had extra handling charges for small orders. I got 10 ohm 25W, but noticed they don't have any in stock right now.

Yep low resistance 2.8 ohms. I'm going to sell them and I just found a set of the 305cc injectors for the same price.

I also made a discovery while looking for another Nippon injector that may work. If the tabs on the injector is closer to the top, it's low ohms. If the tabs are closer to the bottom (like the miata) they are high ohms.

i am not brian but i know this it depends on wich EM you have the blue or ultimate. With the blue and stock maf you are limited to 330's with the ultimate you can run as big as you like. However if i can run 310's with the stock ecu and rx7 afm it might be possible for you to run the 440's with the blue and a rx7 afm heck i believe someone even got 440's to work on a rx7maf miata with no emanage. it was a couple of years ago i think do a search for Andy Floyd he posted in that thread and later went on to run 330s himself. i hope this helps Ohh yeah buy of ebay but do your resaerch first.

I know these should all be Plug and Play:

87-88 Toyota MR2 (4AGE) NA - (213cc – Beige Top)
89-91 B2220 Truck – (224cc)
Toyota (4AGE) – (250cc – Green Top)
Toyota (4AGE) – (250cc – Violet Top)
Toyota (3SGE) – (295cc – Green Top)
89-92 Toyota Supra (7MGE) NA - (305cc – Light Green Top) - #23250-70080
Toyota (3SGE) – (315cc – Pink Top)
89-91 B2600 Truck – (326cc)
89-92 Toyota Supra (7MGE) TURBO - (430cc – Black Top)
89-92 Mazda RX-7 NA – (440cc)

I got mine on Ebay. Otherwise you'll pay $30-100 for each injector.

So I have injectors that have 12.6 OHMs, and my 90 miata runs 13.8 OHMs. Should I reduce then down to this amount or will they be fine?

Cool so just put them in and go huh? Oh and FYI !!! As far as the referance goes for injectors and what you can "plug and play" take a look at 195500-1650. Check out Denso top feed fuel injector flow rates for the cc and OHMs, and then tell me what you think. I pulled them out of a 89 Probe turbo today, and they are black top that produce 324cc. Any comment would be great. They fit right in, PERFECT FIT, but I wasn't sure about running them until I knew that the OHMs were right.

Look I don't mean to be rude Mr. chicksdigmiatas, but you need to get over the noob thing. This is the 3rd time you have said it. Its not needed and kinda rude!!! Just because I wanted help on my car doesn't mean you have to rub in my face that your better then me. Think about it and maybe you'll make some more new friends. Compliments rather then put downs.

Oh and Braineack, THANK YOU for your help!! Its nice to know that some people are willing to help others.
