Cool The Disco Potato

Hey guys i am wondering if the disco potato will work on a 2001 with stock volumetric efficiency? The reason i ask is that whenever i plot the points on the compressor map i end up to the left of the surge line. This could be because my numbers are off as i am only marginally confident in their accuracy. Hehe and lastly is this even the right turbo to be looking at for my goals, i think it is but a little confirmation would be neat. I am looking for around 200rwhp at about 8psi daily (as i have only got 90 octane to work with up here) and somewhere close to 250rwhp at 12psi.

your hp gaols will come in nicely with a DP. How many ponys you corall depends on how good your tunning is if you can run optimal fuel and spark, then your gaols can be met and exceeded with the DP. It is all in the tunning

Hmm, well I would bet that you guys get the good windshield washer fluid in Alaska. That should help a bit.

I'm back home for only 4 months during the summer during that time the average temperature is probably 65-68*F so yeah there is plenty of top down weather. Though I just got the miata and have yet to take it back home to experience any of Alaska with the top down. So i know you'll have atleast 4 months of top down weather, but I would say 5 months would be possible depending on the year. I've seen it snow in July, this past summer, so you never know.

On the weekends i plan on running a toulene mix but for the daily grind i'll have to rock the 90 octane. I will ofcourse intercool and maybe WI in the future so we'll see how it goes. I've got most of my setup dicided and will flop out the card soon and start spendin. I hope to have her up and runnning by late marchish, when the snow is gone.

Where the heck are you getting toluene from. I just read an article on F1 cars running on Toluene with 1.5L turbo motors producing 1500 bhp at 5 bar (73psi). Crazy stuff.

Man that was weird. First time I get on that site, first post I look at talks about a forum get together at a shooting range and another where everyone is going to Eureka or something. Sounds like home. The Suzuki Swift's post right next to the Eclipse's and Tacohmas.
I figured you would have some racegas easily available, but I didn't think Toluene would be easily had. Hell my friends used to run 110 in their snowmobiles from the airfield. Then again it is Alaska.
You should post some info in VBgarage or your signature for your car so we all know what you have. Nice to see what other's have to play with.
