Default Do you think this wastegate actuator bracket will bend?

Fist time DIY anything, so not sure if this method would be sufficient or if i'd better off redesigning the way the actuator is mounted!




I have welded it the the other supporting tab:

I'd be more concerned about heat conduction from the manifold directly into the housing of the actuator. There's a reason you typically see internal WG actuators mounted to the compressor housing.

Thanks Joe, thats an interesting point, I'll have a look how to make a more conventional mounting bracket. The mounting holes on the compressor are staggered somewhat (i.e. not on the same plane) so a tad more challenging.
