I haven't been able to figure it out either. But now that I know what kind it is, I need to start looking for a different turbo. Any turbo would be an upgrade at this point, but I think an sr20 t25 turbo is what im looking for.

Hm its the 14b style of compressor housing but says its a T25/28. Weird ebayness. If that ever shits out this would be a nice upgrade that would last for more or less forever.

the world may never know what kind of turbo this is, only that its an ebay one. I'll definitely look in to that one you posted.

Is something wrong with it? There are plenty of people who run ebay turbos here. Some of them even perform on par or better than their true Garret counterparts.

I mean if you aren't happy with the spool (which I wouldn't be surprised by seeing some of the 2871 churbo dynos) that's one thing. But just because it's a knockoff doesn't mean you need to look for a replacement.

no there's nothing wrong with it, I was just thinking for when this one finally does shit out, then ill know which one i want and already have a replacement for it.

you'd be surprised at how long some ebay turbos last for.

most that are not pushed, and are from the handful of less-crappy vendors, actually hold up for dozens of thousdands of miles

Yeah as I said a few posts ago, its been on my car for ~47000 miles and it hasnt given me any problems yet. I guess I got lucky
