Default Dyno success, 301 whp stock block

Been a few years since I last had the car on the dyno. Pretty happy with the results!

GT2860RS at about 15 psi, BEGi log manifold + separated gases stainless DP, 2.75" to 3" straight pipe, MS3/MS3x, LC-2 wbo2, Toyota COP's, Koyo 37mm radiator, ACT stage 1 clutch kit w/ Prolite flywheel, turbosmart kompact bov, 550cc ev14 injectors from BEGi, DIY intake from siliconeintakes.com, DIYautotune EBC solenoid, closed loop boost control.

Had the turbo setup on for about 3 years or so now, still on the stock engine, trans, diff. Replaced the driveshaft once because it was squeaking from the u-joints. Currently have 175k ish miles, and is my primary vehicle. Could ask for slightly quicker spool, but I think it is the way it is due to the larger .86 turbine housing I have on this potato.

Will post a video in the comments when pops uploads it.

note: it was a dyno day at a local speed shop, hence the goofy file name.

300whp/240tq for three years on the stock engine? whew. I'll be lucky if I don't blow up at 200whp.

I was at about 260whp for a year or so, been tweaking things here and there to get where I am now. I think I just got lucky with this motor... I even have a fully built, forged internals, ARP everything engine with 0 miles on it on a stand in my garage but hesitate to swap it over due to the lack of troubles this engine has given me... I had doubts my stock engine was going to last long so I started building a replacement. Several thousand dollars later, it still sits on standby.

I have a similar setup but gt2871 e85 pushing 18psi. Excited to get it on a dyno, this setup has been on the car for 4 years before I jumped into it. I also have a forged block on the side, but this one still runs good. Glad to see those #s from your car.

Thanks! Just wondering tho, you run huge injectors, rods, e85, etc, what holds you back from cranking up the boost? I kinda figured when I get my built motor in I was gonna run 20+ psi with some bigger injectors... almost makes me second guess the making of that 2nd motor I have, like is it worth it at this point?

I did that on my last miata and killed my 6 speed (it Virtualdyno logged 376whp). I really feel like low 300's is the sweet spot in a street miata; drivetrain is pretty reliable, traction is pretty good, and still quick enough to get out of the way. Going much beyond that reliability starts to fade and traction issues start getting scary.

I do have set up a 3rd boost setting on my EBC that I've been tuning in for a dyno day in a few weeks. I don't really plan to use it much, but definitely planning a 20psi glory dyno run.

That is going to be awesome... please let me know how that one goes!

I've been seeing some 6 speeds pop up in the 550-$600 range here and there. If I find one locally, I may jump on it just to have...

I can check when I get home. I have duty cycle on the bottom portion of the log, yellow line. Shows 68.7% max.

That's really tempting... think you're gonna have it for bit or are you in a rush to sell it?
