I've had some non-car parts that I've 3D-printed to get the right dimensions, and then covered in epoxy (normal or fiberglass) for strength. Worked out well enough, and could do the same for temperature resistance.
I do a lot of 3D printing and am experimenting with ABS. Some of the motivation behind making this part is so that I can see for myself how ABS performs in an engine bay.
