Default Ebay turbo kit any good?

I'm a little intimidated by putting together my own custom turbo kit. I've been looking at the MP62 supercharger kit from miatamania but was wondering if there were similar setups for cheaper. I came across this ebay auction which already ended. Any thoughts?

I'm aware it's a turbo and not a supercharger. That's why i'm on here.

i asked about this turbo a few weeks ago. appearently the manifold is paper thin, and I want you to really LOOK at the fitting of the intercooler setup. notice anything ODD about the connections?

I'll give you a hint. silicone + turbo = melted silicone.

didn't someone say they were going to do an overview of the various ebay turbo kits sometime?

Someone needs to make a sticky about shitty ebay turbo kits so we can stop getting these posts. The kit sucks, stay away from it. Unless you love things made in china like poisoned dog food, or toys with lead paint then you should already know that these kits are made of cheap, **** poor quality components.

As for tesseracter, there is nothing wrong with putting a silicone coupler on a compressor housing.... How do you think all of us attach our piping? The problem with the picture is that the compressor housing outlet is of a 3 bolts oem design and the silicone coupler is just pushed over top of it. Instead it needs a 3bolt to hose flange so that it could get good air tight seal.

So, the moral of the story is don't buy ebay turbo kits, and don't assume you know what you are talking about.

^Neo is right. If you want to know what quality parts cost, then go here... www.bellengineering.net. Ebay is fine for intercoolers and piping, but all eBay KITS are crap.

And don't forget about the search key... as you can imagine, this kit has already been talked about at length:

ummmmm. really? lasted time i checked silicone had a melting point of something like +500° and one of the most commonly used materials to connect pipes. I have a feeling 99.9% of the members use silicone couplers here.

my comment about the silicone coupler is this:

you cannot stretch a round coupler over a triangle shaped adapter flange and expect it to seal. Look at it closely again. The simply fact that they did that suggest your buying a turbo kit from a retard. not to mention to 20 other obvious faults i quickly see by glance at the pics.

the chinachargers are worth it
if they break buy another

yeah don't get this, the cheapest manifold you should ever consdier getting is a megan/obx, and prepare to brace it.
