Default EFR6258 dyno sheet

Although I am having spark blowout issues above 14PSI here is what my tuner was able to do with an 99 miata - EFR6258 on a Kraken manifold setup with 3" exhaust (with cat) and stock head running on 91 octane pump gas.

Tuned at 5280ft above sea level (correction factor is included in chart) on a Dyno Dynamics dyno (which supposedly read somewhat low vs other dynos? - Honestly do not really care as this is not a dyno queen, but he seems to believe this would read nearer 300ish on a dynapack)

All I know is that he added 50rwhp to my base tune that I brought it to him with and he kept it safe for track use.

Now I just need to fix this spark blowout issue and get some E85 going and get this thing finalized.

Feeling pretty happy so far with a max of 14psi at this point. Just wanted to share the joy after a very long build.

Harvey is the one having troubles with your setup? Hmmm, I would be giving the HW a serious look. I ran a set of toyota COPs to 18psi on a 0.028" gap (wasted spark) that IIRC are PNP. You could borrow them for testing if you want. I would need to find them.

14psi in Longmont is like 11psi to everybody on this forum, so not much at all.

Edit: my COPs are PNP for a early NA, won't work on NB I believe.

ya Ted. That’s why I’m so bummed. Harvey thinks it’s bad coils at this point. He worked on it for a while and is actually keeping the car for a few more days for road tuning/startup etc. I reached out to flow force. So I will see where that goes or if they have any better thoughts also. What do you mean with “HW”?

also. Appreciate the offer on the cop’s. Really wanna just get these expensive ls coils working properly!

HW is hardware, as in defective or degraded components or install issues.

You have all of the power grounds hooked up and they are in good shape, yes?

I sure thought I did.

Once Harvey finishes some street tuning I am going to get the car back and go through the whole ignition system again.

Any updates?
Would love to see a pic of the finished exhaust as well. Glad you're putting it to use!

Was bad plug wires.

Running 17lbs right now until I can get back to tuner to re-tune again (I'm scared to go over that with my own tuning). Although once the plug wires were fixed I did accidentally hit 24lbs on a few pulls. That was pretty fun.

Waiting to install flex fuel sensor and then re-tune for blended tables.

Will update once completed.

Keep us updated on flex tuning/table blending. Looking to get that done myself here before winter hits.
