Is there really a hole drilled all the way through for the speed sensor? It comes from the factory only partially drilled. Definitely need to plug it if its all holey.

That Is a supercore. It's missing the exhaust housing.

Are you sure you are getting the whole turbo from Gavin?

The page you linked at jags is selling a supercore part number 179140.

Gavin might have mistakenly price matched this for you.

I think you are looking the the spec and that's where they tell what the core is. if you look on top its

BorgWarner EFR 6258-A Turbocharger B1 Turbo Frame Size

Part Number: 156-179150

Gavin replied back and confirmed its a complete turbo.

Yeah the Jags page is confusing. On top they say 179150 full turbo and in specs it says 179140 supercore.

That's an unreal price for a complete 6258 turbo!.

Gavin is the man

He will be going with a Mkturbo EFR setup. We talked about it about 1.5 weeks ago when I was getting a flattop from him, and gave him the info on where to get the turbo for, cheap.

Already have a few customers out in the wild running them. New cast manifold will be in a t2 and t3 version. Just slow going getting a cast manifold made in the USA at a price point that makes TacoTaco manifolds not worth the cost.

Yeah I was talk to Lars regarding MK setup so I don't have to fab the down pipe and lines. I currently have a Kraken T25 manifold and down pipe that I will off load since the outlet adapter and downpipe would be useless to me. I still need to purchase MS, fuel pump and Injectors.

Borka did you change the stock EFR BOV and Waste gate actuator?

Nope, I'm running the turbo exactly as it came from Gavin. With medium boost actuator.

Wastegate only I get 9-10 psi. Then use ebc to crank it to 17 psi.

Bov whistles a bit during part throttle cruising, a bit annoying, but I got used to it.

Holy hell....

At this price I kinda wish I'd gone with the kraken efr setup instead of the T25. I would have considered selling my 2871 and upgrading to a 6278. Oh well. I guess I actually have to drive my car now lol.

Looking forward to seeing what you make on this setup now.

Borka, how's your ish been holding up?

All good here, this car still makes me giggle when I push the happy pedal down at 300hp.

Car is solid, Besides blowing up my 5 speed and upgrading to 6spd and 3.6 torsen.

Oh and somehow I managed to strip the oil pan oil drain threads. So that's the next fun project to figure out.
