Default EFR6258 v-band clamp

Hey there,

What v-band clamps are you guys using on the EFR6258?

I tried this kit but the clamp sits awkwardly because of the wastegate outlet. It seems to be too wide to sit properly.

Cheers

I use the clamp made specifically for the Borg Warner EFR. I believe other non-EFR clamps may have fitment issues, as it seems you have discovered.

Thanks Martin, the Aussie suppliers of this turbo don't seem to have one listed hence why it wasn't obvious not all v-band clamps are equal.

This one year, at band clamp...

We use/sell a non-BW clamp/flange that is of significantly higher quality than the clamp Borg offers for the turbo.

^ Wish I had known that when I stripped the threads on my first Borg Warner clamp! Now I know what to get when my current one breaks.

My clamp is from Treadstone. Is that the BW clamp or the nicer one?

I managed to get one locally (Australia) from GCG. It's the same brand as the one supplied on the compressor side of the EFR, and it fits perfectly.

My clamp and exhaust side flange is treadstone as well. But I guess I suck at getting it lined up or something since it seems to leak like a sieve based on the carbon on the flanges, yes they are flat.
