Default Engine health before turbo?

On a used engine, what is a reasonable indication that it can be turboed without re-building it first, and have a reliable weekend or DD? Long term goal would be 200whp on a '95 or '02.

Leak it, compression tells you very little.

OP, if it has good compression and decent leakdown (<15%), you're good to go.
