no you cant run 550's on either a emanage or saf (saf's are crap anyway) the miata ecu just isnt good enough to handle big injector changes like honda and dsm's can.
the only way to run 550's is with a Megasquirt or other stand alone ecu.
There may be a few wholl say you can but they are talking out thier ***.

I thought the emanage lets you remap the fuel?? I ran 550 Venoms on my stock ECU... I had to drop the fuel pressure to 10psi to go pick up my AEM.

The Emanage Ultimate can compensate for pretty much any injector. The EMB can only compensate for relatively small increases in injector size, since it does so by adjusting AFM rather than injector duration directly- it's no different from a SAFC in this regard.

That being said, some folks have tales of running monster injectors on the stock ECU. You're welcome to try it. After you're done we'll help you install the EMU.

i ran 460's on a safc2 but the driveability sucked. MS is the way to go trust me.

Do you have a 1.6? If so then I'd recommend the MS P&P. Same price as the EMU, and the benefits of a full standalone.

If you've got a 1.8 and fear the 'Squirt, then an EMU with a Boomslang harness would work for you.

Let's take a step back for a moment though. Rather than saying "I've got these injectors, let's base the whole system around them" why don't you tell us what the rest of your system looks like at present, and what your goals are.

people underestimate what the emb is capable of doing regarding fuel injector changes. i'm running 440s with no issues, the car drives like stock gets almost stock gas mileage (out of boost) and i'm pretty sure i could run bigger ones if i needed to, but i dont. i might have someone else try running a set of 550's with the emb soon. but without a question the 440s will work, i've never ran anything but the 440's.
