The fact that you will say who was the driver (VagaX I believe) was and that they were going faster then spec miata times is what sold me when I got in on the original group buy. I have yet to see FM/Begi/Full-Race come out with that info.

Sorry for raising this ancient thread from the grave, but I have a relevant query.

Since I'm yanking the engine right now, I figure this would be as good a time as any to redo all of the problematic fasteners on the turbo. What I really need are some studs to replace the 5/16ths inch bolts that hold on my wastegate to the turbo (it's an internal housing). No amount of anti-seize seems to protect them from seizing as the level of heat around this area is pretty damn high. I've even had to drill one out and helicoil it at one point. Converting them to studs would isolate the actual fastening area from the heat (since it would be outside of the turbine housing with a nut instead of screwed into it). It would also make assembly a bit easier.

Yes, I tried google, but it's all aerospace/military contractors who want you to submit an RFQ, presumably as part of a multi-trillion dollar contract for bulk manufacturing of space fighters or whatever.

What are you asking? All you did was say a bunch of stuff.

I'm looking for a place to buy some studs for the 5 bolt turbine housing I have.

I have been running the BEGI M10 inconel studs on track, cast mani, 225-252 whp, 40 min stints, @ or slightly faster than spec miata times (swedish equivalent) for 2 seasons without ever tightening the nuts. Regular steel nuts.

My downpipe studs stretch however.

They have had them for several years now. Here is a link to them. I also still stand by what I said 4 years ago that TSE are the only inconel studs that I will tell people to use. It is what I recommend to users who buy my setups and want to go on track.

$20 more expensive and no Resbond...

I would never recomment them anyway, was just curious.
I like my vendors to be non-liars.
Thanks for the info Larzie. (and yes I'd order from Andrew if I was getting some)
