I'm considering the the Kooks in 225/50-15 instead of 225/45's, heck if Falken had actually come out with the Azenis 615 in 225/50/-15, that would've been my choice.:td: Thread hijack.... Sorry.:inout: When exactly are you spinning? I am curious because I would think that with both of us at 16psi we are close to the same power output. I think 16psi isnt crazy fast but its fast enough to hand most people their ass on the street. |
i like my g force sports 225-50r15 they need to be warmed but after that they offer some very nice and predictable grip. end thread drift. sorry mark

The hydra will give you more of what you want- power. I made one datalog run, made minor fuel and ign changes, then went back out and made another run and instantly had more power. 3000rpm - before=3psi after=3.3, 4000rpm - before=9psi after=9.6psi. No signs of knock, so there's still more to gain.
Oh being a DD, I can understand. I actually traded a set of stock alloys for a new set of nitto drag radials, so I haven't had any breaking loose. Don't know if that's good or bad. |
I honestly cant wait to get my gubby little mits on a hydra in the spring.

So the real skinny... how fast can you go with a untuned $200 turbo and $175 manifold?
Conditions: 205/50R15 Falken Azenis Full Tank of Gas Piss poor driver Hardtop installed Vehicle weight ~2700 lbs with driver Results: Poor 60' times, wheel hop issues, and no traction in 3 gears. 1st Run: 12.93 @ 115.77 MPH 60' 2.23 1/8 mile 8.59@86.41 Best run: (two passes at 12.76) 12.76 @ 115.21 MPH 60' 2.16 1/8 mile 8.37@89.02 The car pulls hard up top, but can't plant the power off the line. If I run my drag radials next time, I think that 12.20's are within reach. Mark |
dayum mark nice times, you need more tire though. I bet with better tires your 60' will drop a ton and et and mph will go up because of the extra traction....Impressive:)
|
yeah get some traction looks real nice.
|
I just notice you rotated your wastegate flange 90*- sneaky. You keep doing stuff like that and you'll have an american made chinese header. ;)
12.20s? Hmmm... sounds like a showdown in the works looking Andy's sig. Oh - but he'll be running 11s with the hydra and new IC setup. :bigtu: |

LOL, Ya, well the Tial didn't fit right the other way. So I twisted it. I am sure that Andy's car will remain faster than mine. I don't have the turbo, ported head or race fuel.... add in the extra few hundred pounds from my portly ABS equipped 10th AE and he'll be kicking my ass for quite some time.
Mark Last time I weighed my car it was 2260 w/ a full tank of gas w/o me in it. |
