Gents, it's been a while..
I have been very busy rebuilding a 23 year old car. BMW drivetrain project is coming along nicely while the shell is stripped, rustproofed, corrected and repainted. Also, I now have a larger exhaust turbine (and associated supporting cast members) on the big (LP) turbo. I am planning on running 18 psi on this system. Here's my question: My @Reverant built MS2 Enhanced has a built in MPXH4250 MAP sensor. It is a 2.5 BAR sensor, good to 21 psi boost. Do you think I will have enough headroom for proper overboost protection, etc with this MAP sensor? Should I consider replacing it with a MPXH6400A which is good for 4 BAR? |
I thought about that a while ago, but when I saw that my mpx4250 actually reads up to 2.6bar (23psi), I put that thought by side.
I mean, you would cut at ~20psi anyway? |
