Default Greddy 'Dustpan' intakes

Hi All,

I have been trying to search on this intake as I have never seen one (and hopefully I will have one in my sticky hands in a couple of weeks). Can anyone please tell me their impressions - and secondly - please see the attached pic - has anyone tried this (good idea / bad idea / bl**dy crazy idea).

Looks interesting. You could probably do it yourself if you're careful enough. You are talking about the extra opening aren't you?

Cheers, Jon

That looks like a Racing Beat Type1 nose... I've never seen the extra cutout in between the parking lights. It looks like a good way to get extra air into the top of the radiator although I know nothing about it. That opening combined with a Jackson Racing CAI kit would be nice. What's the reason behind making this mod?

And I think when guys refer to a dustpan intake, they're talking about this...

I think this is the setup people refer to as the dustpan.

Sorry for the confusion - I was indeed talking about the one that jayc72 linked (pic attached). Can you see any downside of the hole between the parking lights?

That filter will probably get dirty pretty damn quick. The other thing that might be an issue is airflow through the rad/intercooler. I'm not really sure how this might have an effect, but you never know.

I'd bet it works just fine, but you'd need some minmal sort of filter/hinderence to keep rain, dirt, and bugs from blasting on through.

I like it. I might try it.

Dustpan might also refer to those low-profile scoops some guys put under the car.

Cheers, Jon

The hole is just designed for the cooling system, but a filter is that postion would greatly benefit.

The hole in is still below the shelf the "dustpan" scavanges from so I wouldn't be conserned about water, dirt, etc.

Good luck trying to get it imported from Japan though. Looks like they use it for a v-mount intercooler.
