I am on the fence between a rotrex and 2560. Im looking to make around
250whp at most eventually but start around 200whp.

I do not want this to turn into a super vs turbo, I know the merits of each and both are great solutions.

One thing that does interest me however is 1st and 2nd gear spool data from a 2560. Coming from a Subaru WRX STi, which had a tiny turbo for its engine, even then 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd felt laggier then 4th gear pulls like we see on spool charts.

So I was wondering if anyone does, or if anyone with a properly set up 2560(3inch exhaust, good manual boost controller or EBC etc etc) can log some 1st and second gear pulls from lets say 2,000rpm.

 

I hit 15-16 psi no problem in lower gears. Rear end gets very squirrely sometimes going WOT in 2nd gear... it can make plenty of power in the lower gears if that what you're worried about. Don't have datalogs handy, but by 3500ish I can hit that 15-16 psi no problem, and my EBC isn't really tuned 100 percent.

 

I know you can make plenty of power down low, I have ridden in 2 2560 setups and they are from from laggy. Regardless I would like to see the numbers.
