@Ed- Yeah when we were working on neogenesis' setup it probably took him longer to find the allen wrench for the clamps than it took to remove the turbo. But ease of maintenance is really just a secondary benefit to the overall goal- eliminating broken/stretched studs that the track crew have dealt with.

I believe a HX35 is one of the smaller Holsets. It is efficient at 35+ psi and will easily support well over 400 hp. A bit bigger than I'm looking to go right now.

Supposedly this is a comparison of some of the upgraded turbos Garrett offers for diesels. The HX35 map is the "little" pink one labeled "stock."

I can take my turbine in and out in less than 15 minutes, easilty. V-bands are better in every way. I wish I had started with them. TiAL is going to redesign the turbine housing though, but I'm not sure it will really matter in the long-run.
