Default Help me with my dilemma

Sorry for the noob question, Ive searched all over google but it still puzzles me

I am thinking about picking up this intercooler and from the picture ive received, it the way fins are layed out inside makes it seem like bar and plate but if you look at second picture, its tube and fin design... but fins are lined up like bar and plate... is this tube and fin or bar and plate?

Why that particular unit? The popular choice of IC's for almost every power-range of turbo Miata are well covered here. If you want to reinvent the wheel, it's your choice, but nobody has ever had a single complaint that I've heard after using the 3 or 4 standard sizes from CXRacing. They are cheap, well made, fit great, cool effectively, and all the homework has been done for you.

If you're running up to the 250whp range, use the one with dimensions about 27x6x2.5 with 2.5" in/out... it fills the whole nose of the car and is only about 1/2 the height of the radiator, so you still get good airflow.

Probably the same reason I'm running a unit very similar to that: It was available for very little money.
