Default hissing sound from back of intake manifold

so i was just driving around and when i got near my house my car was idling funny.. really low...
so i get home and find the sound is coming from the back of the intake manifold from some little round metal port sticking off of the back...
when i put my finger over the hole to cover it the car idles right??
what is suppose to be there???
thanks

A rubber cap to cover that vacuum port.
You have a vacuum leak. Go to your parts store and get a rubber cap that fits that nipple. Put a zip-tie on it and call it a day. Or just use some vac line you have laying around that fits and put a bolt in the end.

yep chad is right peice of vac hose or a vac cap and a zip tie and you should be ok if not then it might be your intake manifold gasket. this is not a hard job either, the bolts are easy to reach i hope you dont have to learn that though GL

Just make sure it won't fall off.
