Default How Can I quiet my exhaust without sacrificing performance.

My exhaust is really stupid loud, it's basically streight pipe leading into a type r obx muffler...How can I quiet the car without sacrificing power for my turbo...(back pressure)

Once you install the turbo your exhaust will be quieter. I wouldn't do the exhaust until last, that way you can see the difference.

I was pleasantly surprised (as was my wife) how quiet my car was after installing the turbo. It used to set off car alarms occasionally, now it's really quite nice, I hear the intake a lot more.

You wont even hear it anymore. Did you watch my most resent video? That's an aftermarket n/a exhaust with a test pipe. You can barely hear the damn thing at WOT.

That's how I sold the idea of a turbo to my better half. Told her I wanted to buy something that would make the car more quiet, she was all for it!

My car is quieter with just the turbo and open dp than it was before with RSR GT2 and OBX header(and cat). Youd think the the cat woulda quieted it down, but turbo wins as far as best muffler'

put a 3 or 4" diameter bullet muffler in the midpipe. won't hurt performance, quiets the exhaust.
