Default How must "adjustability" from stock wastegate?

I cut the rod from a gt28r wastegate actuator, and threaded it back together with a coupler. What's a safe range I can adjust to?

And whats the stock boost from the stocker?

Thanks for the info.

what's the part number on the actuator? There is no stocker.

Probably like 8 psi.

range? are you looking for how short you can make the rod? or how much boost you can set it to?

There really is no "stock boost from the stocker". It depends on the rest of your system.

I run a gt28r and when originally installed with no EBC it was making 15psi in 50-60F weather. I couldn't get the boost lower than that. We ported the wastegate opening and were able to get it down to 12psi which I was happy with. In warmer weather it makes about 9psi with the included actuator and I bring it up to 14 with an EBC.

I meant the range of the boost I can set it to. I'll find the part number for the wastegate. Maybe I can look for the intended stock boost level on the garret site. I wanted to know the range of boost so I don't over tension the internal diaphram and damage it. I want to set the wastegate control to around 9-10 psi, and set my ebc to 14 psi, so that the flap won't leak and reduce the boost response.

Also, during tuning, I want to set it to 6 psi so I can tune the 6 psi row in the link ecu easier. My thottle control isn't that good yet.

9 psi on a warm day to 12 psi on a regular day. That's a pretty big variation. Can ambient temperature do that much to boost control?
