You should totally get a megasquirt. It's cooler than a turbo.

I am just beginning to tune mine with rx8 injectors and stock fuel rail, regulator, and pump. At 8 psi (which is what I'm getting on wastegate spring only; no boost control yet) there is a decent amount of headroom in terms of injector duty cycle. Example datapoint: 150kPa, 11:1 AFR, 5500 RPM, 66% duty.

I paid like $50 for 6 rx8 injectors on ebay.

We'd need to know what kind of manifold you have to give any input on downpipe. Pictures are a good start.

You say 6-8 pounds now... lol. You'll want more.

Injectors - anything ~440cc or bigger.

Fuel rail/pump - can remain stock if healthy.

MS - yes, you'll want an EMS.

Downpipe depends on your manifold.

Fuel: walbro pump 190lph High pressure pump, your rail is fine

Get a megasquirt, dont look back

start with 440cc inj if you arent using a RRFPR inline with your fuel system. If so, use 305cc supra injectors and tune accordingly.

goodluck, bye

Manage: Megaskeet or AEM EMS
Injectors: 400+
Downpipe: Get one made cheap ***.
Sexuality: Just accept your man-butt seeking nature.

Have you thought about reading the stickies? Somebody on the forum builds them cheap and will provide a nice base tune map for your injectors. If you read some stickies you will figure it out.
