was able to mod the box just fine. I need to still rivet some aluminum sheet to cover the now large hole, then put the lip i bent up in a vice to flatten it out. btw- I just noticed that this road work sign I found on the side of the road is aluminum sheet. Nice and thick too... hmmm.

here you go matt and ben:
I took a piece of heater hose, filled it with silicone and then stuck two bolts on either end. gave it a session in the oven and a few days in the glovebox to completely cure. screwed it and and will loosely tighten the top nut. allows for lots of movement. |
