Default Intercooler is installed....

I just finished up my intercooler install. I have to head to work now, but Ill take pics later to show you how easy it really is. It took me 3 hours total to mount and install custom pipes. The pipes go around the radiator, and it really is a no-brainer that going around is much better than going under. Plus, this way the pipes are shorter and are less likely to see road debris, or get scraped because they sit too low. I dont have PS or AC so I had like tons of room up front and I was able to run 2.5in pipes all the way around. I will have to upgrade these cheesy *** clamps that CX Racing supplies, but the 28x8x3.5" intercooler and their aluminum pipes are very high quality. I got out of this whole deal for 300, exactly why I sold my starion and pipes for....not bad eh?

Looks good!

#1 I'll pre-empt Brian and Scott :gay: : Is your crankcase breather still routed to air?

#2 Are those ES100 tires that you are putting down all that power with? I'd think you'd need more rubber than that...

Oh, and spoolup is faster w/ this intercooler vs the starion. 10psi @ 4100 w/ starion; 12psi @ 3800 with this IC ( 3rd gear on both )

Do the tubes in the Starion have "turbulators" in them? I thought the tube and fin ICs had less pressure drop (because the tubes were "cleaner") but the trade off was less temp drop. I know the bars/tubes in my spearco core are packed with these "turbulators". Just wondering what the difference in spool up is attributed to.
