Default Intercooler Piping Size Question

I have 2" cold side pipes.

I will be ordering 2.5" hot side pipes. (no other options at this point)

I know my sizing is opposite of the standard setup (2" hot, 2.5" cold).

Any drawbacks to this?

Thanks.

BTW, I'm using a T25.

Seeing how there's no other options at this point, why does it matter?

I'm pretty sure the standard is for a 2.5"coldside due to the TBinlet being 2.5". A lot of compressor outlets are 2". You're gonna be fine.

I'm going to hijack the thread a tad here.

Say your piping goes from 2" to 2.5". Is it best to put a 2.25" transition pipe in there, or just run a 2" to 2.5" coupler?

suck it up and run 2 to 2.5, with FI you will not notice as much as a difference as if you were relying on natural aspiration for your powa

You've got it backwards... I'd say run 2.5 on coldside because our TB's are 2.5

edit:just read the rest of your post lol

I'm no expert but I would have thought that if anything you would make the hotside piping a little larger as when the charge passes through cooler it will decrease in size.

My 2cents worth
