I have a 1998 jdm NB Miata with the stock 1.6. NB's with 1.6 were only sold in japan and europe so I can't find any information on what ecu I can run to turbo my car since the car is now imported in North America and nobody here has even heard of 1.6 Nb miatas... Someone told me the 1.6 NB didn't have cas it has crank and cam hall sensors like 1.8 NBs and 1.8 throttle body?they said "maybe 98-00 megasquirt setting will work" I dont want to spend $1000 on an ecu and not even be certain it will work can someone please help me.
I'm buying a 1.6 turbo kit for 89-92 NA miata I am pretty sure will fit (i hope), as again 1998 1.6 nb turbo kits dont exist here in North America. I am also not a mechanic and really only know b series Honda motors so I am still learning about miatas and this is awfully confusing. l just imported this car and I am scared to turbo it and run into a problem. So if anyone as any information on the ecu to use and or any info turboing a stock jdm 1.6 nb please respond. Thx a lot,
