Default kraken down pipe on sr20 t25 - doesnt fit - common?

hi guys im finally starting to put the puzzle peices together for my turbo install. got a Kraken kit a while ago and plan on running an old silvia journal bearing t25 - 5 bolt. when putting the studs in there is no configuation where the hole in the picture lines up with the stud. is this a common thing?

would you try to find a thinner stud or drill out the hole? seems there is a little meat there but im warey of taking too much meat out of the DP. be keen to know if this is a standard thing i need to deal with.

There were other 5 bolt housings in that era. Too bad zilvia.net died, was a great resource for stuff like this.

I would contact Kraken before drilling anything.

Do you have more photos of the exhaust housing and elbow? How close is the stud to lining up?

I've had a couple T25's on my car and they've all had the same bolt pattern.

This is definitely a thing. I had an Artech downpipe with my SR20 turbo, and it required a few holes to be drilled out bigger before it fit. Not sure if that'll work in your scenario, but worth a check.

thanks Curly - yep i assume its just a casting thing, ie not perfect. some minor rounding of a few holes sorted it out. case closed. clearances for bolts are TIGHT.
