Looking for more spoooooool GT2560R upgrade recomendations
Currently running a GT2560R, specifically the one sold here https://www.ebay.com/itm/264052382847.
Even with an EBC, im still not hitting fully boost (10-12psi) until about 3900 RPM. I don't believe I have any significant boost leaks or anything funny going on.
While I don't want to spend a bunch of money, I have been seeing the GTX2860R clones floating around online.
Could I expect a significant increase in spool from one of those, or do yall have any other recommendations?

What are the details on the rest of your setup? If you're not spooling a GT2560r until 3900rpm, you probably have a concern elsewhere and a turbo swap isn't going to help your issue. A GT2560r with a 3" exhaust and decent-flowing manifold on a 1.8L BP should spool to 10psi in the low-3k rpm range, even just on the wastegate.
A GTX2860r is going to spool marginally slower than your current turbo, all else being equal.

- Exhaust: 3" Kraken
- Manifold: Kraken top mount
- Intercooler: Kraken 5.5" with 2.5" hot side piping
- BOV: Kraken Chinese bov
- Wastage actuator: Mamba piston style wastage actuator with 18psi? spring (referencing boost from right before the throttle body)
- ECU: MSLabs MS3 Basic

Nothing about that setup seems like it'd cause a slow spool. How many miles on the engine, have you done a compression/leakdown test recently?
How did you confirm you don't have any boost leaks? I'd personally smoke test the system before any further diagnosis to reliably rule out a boost leak.

im concerned about the BOV and wastegate, those are usually two things you don’t want from China. Can we see detailed pictures of the engine bay? Maybe there’s something obvious we can see.

The engine has 96k on it. I've never done compression or leak down on it.
The way I tested for boost leaks was with the method where you put a schrader valve on a pvc cap, and install that on the inlet to the turbo, then put pressure on the system using compressed air. I sprayed all of the charge piping down with soapy water and looked for bubbles.
The only weird thing I noticed when doing this (other than obvious boost leaks) was that their seemed to be significant leakage into the crank case. I did this with a cold engine and "dry" cylinders if that matters. I assumed it was normal-ish and if it wasn't, I figured I would just send it for the time being.

He is at 4psi @2500rpm, it think he startet a bit lower actually.
I had the same config with a 2560R and hit 200tq at 3300rpm, looks like your boost control tapers off right there to prevent an overbosst situation. Everything looks fine, only VVT can help.

What happens when you set your overboost protection to 15psi and EBC duty to 100%, can you log that and see if theres any change?

This picture makes me think you've actually got a massive airflow restriction with the Si TB elbow:
The TB hose bend needs a lot of room to smoothly transition air 90* and maintain the inner circular diameter.
It looks like you've cut down a 90* Si hose to avoid contact with the coolant re-route hose and compromised the air flow to the TB so it will require a LOT more pressure to overcome this.
Most people's 90* elbow, including mine, protrude far more than what yours does in this photo (which is why I suspect you've cut it down, it's actually bending sharply on the underside and the 90* transition length is too short for smooth air flow).
Consider replacing the radiator with one that has a barb n the cold side that WON'T interferes with the TB hose (you'll need to buy another 90* Si TB hose too).

Yea like others have said a 2560r should be hitting 12psi in the 3300-3500rpm range easily. I think you should remove the bov, block that off and see what happens. A bov leak can definitely slow your spool quite a bit. Also make sure you're wg is tight and not allowing exhaust to bypass the turbine wheel. I always set my wg with a decent amount of preload so it stays shut on spoolup but not so tight that you'll run into boost creep in higher rpms
