Default Manifold advice MX5?

Quick hello before the first timer asks you all for some advice.
Hello
I have a 1994 1.8l miata/MX5 that I want to turbo and this would appear to be a great place for help and information, the main problem being I'm in the UK and we get a bum deal on most things.
I'm looking at a DIY install to keep the cost down but even this doesn't come cheap.
I have looked at a manifold and downpipe from the two main players, Begi/FM, and although the quality looks good the cost is quite high as they will not ship direct and I have to go through their UK based dealers.
EG. A manifold +DP in SS from Begi works out at over $1400!!!

So, my question is, are there any other supplies that I should consider?
Are the kits off ebay worth a look?
Any thoughts on the HKS complete kits, they don't receive many good comments over here but I do see a few of their manifolds being mentioned in members signatures on here.

I would like to aim for around 210/220 hp and have a full budget to include engine management etc of around $5000
Thanks in advance,
Col.

Do you have an EGR system on your car? Are you required to keep it?

How are your fabrication skills?

could you make or could you find someone to make something like this?

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I do have an EGR but it can/will be removed due to the age of the car.
I've had a look at the manifold in the link, thanks, but its for a T3 fitment. I'm quite new to turboing(is that a word?) but I was under the impression that the T25/T28 are the same but they are different to the T3 and it is the T28 I am looking to use.

Braineack

Yes I have contacted them and while I'm sure you'll understand that a public forum isn't the right place to discuss certain things, it would be fair to say that they were not very cheap, but they may be governed by their supplier!!

Thanks again

Just a thought, are there any suppliers/stockists in the Florida area, as I will be visiting in May for the family holiday and could find a little extra room in the suitcase on my return!!
