On another note, after I bought my plasma cutter I actually thought how much easier it would be to build my next weld-el manifold. Much of the time was spent sawing, grinding and forming the stainless weld els manually. I would think that with a five axis plasma cutter or tube laser one could cut weld-els perfectly that they could jigsaw together with zero gap for easy welding.

Sell the contour cut weld-els with two flanges as a "ready to weld" kit for $150-200.

Here's the simple one that I made. Only six weld els and two flanges. It's symmetrical so there are only three distinct wel-el sections. This was for an SR20 T25 and fit without any modifications to the frame rail even though it's a side mount.

Heck, if you could cut the weld-els, you could cut the flanges.

Say a COST of $25 for the large flange, $12 for the small one, $10 each for the six weld-els with labor, you are under $100 cost so yeah, you could sell it for $150.

100 dollar B series manifold. Decent-ish collector, nice runners and an external wastegate mount. Jealous.

Or these ****'s. SPA top mount.

Or the 200 dollar knock off.

They're reserved for the chump car and lemons builds these days, which I agree, is sad.

Doesn't really make sense since you can pick up a early 1.6 for so cheap these days, right around the $1000 mark. But again, those are reserved for the chump races.

OP, look into weld-els, they're the angled pieces you want. Ace stainless has what you want for ~$38, but I don't think they have the turbo flange you want.

For the manifold flange, I'd suggest finding a used stock piece and hacking it up. These days a lot of them are cracking, find one of those.

Id definitely be on board for a tacotaco 1.8 cast manifold
no matter how cheap that stuff is, most Honda people still can't afford it

If I don't find a used cast, I might get ambitious and try to make my own mani.
With enough time and patience I think I could make something absurdflow-like. But it could go to rubbish... Would be lots of cutting and and grinding and fitting.

Anyone know what guage of mild is used in a good turbo mani? I think I found 11 guage mandrel bends for a decent price.
