Should've half shafted that bad boy. Good enough though, better than no porting at all.

Braineack 05-20-2008 09:01 AM

I'm still working on it. It may not be pretty, but exactly, better than none at all. In the least I got rid of the lip just before the flapper.

Braineack 05-20-2008 06:32 PM

aiight, i think im done. removed more material and smoothed shit out. if i gain 2% more flow, that's 2% more flow.

I guess you're never removing the butterfly valve....

cjernigan 05-20-2008 06:57 PM

Aren't those rivets and not screws? I don't remember.

Braineack 05-20-2008 07:12 PM

they are screws. and i haven't removed a butterfly in 13 years since we owned our '93, why would i start now?

Braineack 05-21-2008 10:08 AM

Sexellent!

Great idea with the boost controller switch. I now must do that too.

Things like boost control and shift lights start to make sense when you start making some serious power and the tacho needle has a tendency to move itself full sweep in a blink.

Can I steal that image Joe? (EDIT : this one (didn't see second page) http://img28.picoodle.com/img/img28/...Cm_47b041d.gif )

good boy! im doing the same as you already know :)

Braineack 05-25-2008 07:19 PM

It's in TPS finally working. I had to perform a few open heart surgeries on the TPS unit itself to get it to work. First the pins on the connector did not make contact to the wiper paths on the inside. Then the wiper brushes themselves needed to be readjusted. So far good. Now to play with TPS stuffs....launch, TPSdot, TPS boost, etc.

hahaa sorry didn't mean to be a copycat its just that i already had it of my
engine and i just got a new dremmel so i went for it...

Braineack 05-26-2008 04:09 PM

Blah. I had it working this morning was able to play with launch control....then it stopped sending voltage again. I need to get a new TPS unit, my surgeries were unsuccessful it seems. the brushes are too fubared.

launch control is really fun btw.

XxGoKoUxX 05-26-2008 04:35 PM

it sure damn is, glad you're playing with it now :) i will have to figure out a way to make a switch for my launch control.... wanna school me via PM brain?

Braineack 05-26-2008 04:43 PM

i figure if I keep the TPS switch at 75% or so I'll never activate it.

XxGoKoUxX 05-27-2008 12:45 AM

well i heard you're suppose to run it according to the clutch switch on the car.... and with 100% on the floor with the clutch pedal down, you activate it...

what's weird when i do it is.... ALS activates when it wants to, which is weird. my foot's all the way down on the clutch and if i hold it for a while... ALS activates, and i can't deactivate it.... sorta why i want an actual switch i can flip now lol
