didnt think the engines rocked that much with the MC engine mounts to require a flex? rather weld in a flex than fix a crack |
We tend to put flex's on all the DPs. Preventing cracks is just nice. Don't feel like having to pull stuff because of an exhaust leak.

Heh, its got a flex/hump coupler in there... and another for the other side.
Ideally i'll use the bike shock I picked up to make a dampener on the intake manifold side. But there is so much else to finish first. |

hey splitime, i had a quick question about the gtx valve cover your using. i recently got one and had it powdercoated in hopes of using it, but
what did you do about that rear nipple in the back ? how did you mount the coilpack ? and since theres no pcv valve, can you run a venting catch can directly to the nipple on the passenger side ? spaced the questions out so you could answer them by copying and pasting |

I'm thinking 250 will be quite fun. Possibly 300 on tap. Considering it'll be mainly on track abuse... I'm not really going to push limits often.

I worked on our condo the 4th... we are amidst prepping it for sale... i have 0 spare time :p.
So... I've got MS harness done (i think). I've got IM on for good, fuel rigged up and plugged in. Exhaust on and done... radiator mods finished... just doing hoses today, coolant fill... oil change... and maybe startup? Still have seat/harness to finish... have to finish pulling abs junk. Also have roof air scoop to finish up. Then mount up my driving lights, bleed brakes and clutch slave... slowly getting there |

All buttoned up.... leaks from rear fittings for coolant reroute. Took off... "fixed" leaks again... so i'll tackle that later.
No spark/fuel from car... either ground I can't find is off (car turns over) or I fugged up my MS harness. |
make sure your fuel lines didn't get hooked up backwards.... that's probably the #1 offender.

try running fuel only first to see if the MS spark is the issue.

Oh i had the fuel lines backwards :p Fixed that. My issue is something else, I'll be back at car this coming weekend.

Thanks to some MS help from neogenesis... I'm up and running :) Got car to start up and idle on the 550s without an IAC. Fixed coolant leak also. It's basically ready to drive... but down at buddies warehouse up on his car trailer... which takes 2 people to get it down.
Oh... I took video and fresh pictures of bay... but forgot the usb cable attached to the MS in the car... so it'll have to wait. So I'll have it down and tuning tomorrow night... or sometime this week.. or something like that... :) It's ALIVE! |

hey if you are using the map I posted, I am not sure how accurate it is, I have a newer one that is a bit more updated, but still not quite there. You gotta change it to .msq though before loading as our uploader does not accept .msq files.
Right now I am running around 12 psi, and fairly rich in boost (around 11:1) and I have had to retard the ignition timing a bit to keep it from pinging on Cali gas in the heat, should be better than the other map I posted though. |
That map ran a bit funky for me. Ignitor started getting hot and tach started glitching.
I did however... pull the car outta the warehouse and pull back in on it. Sounds mean and the clutch engagement is quite sudden. Anyways... quick MS startup video... its off of a digital camera... so not the greatest video.
