Default Mx5 turgo

Hello guys, I have a MX5NB turbo and recently I’ve done a coil job on the car replaced the old coils with new coils the new coils are R8 coils ,the problem I have with it is that whenever I drive to 4.5 K RPM, I will get 10 psi and wont go past that it will just shoot flames and make pops and bangs.

I haven't reached the stage in my build to where you are currently, but I'd post up a datalog so someone can take a look, and see what's going on.

Have you searched on here for installation of R8 coils? I don't have them, so can't help you, but there may be settings or other things peculiar to those that are required. Are you running an aftermarket ECU, if so which one? And a log would be helpful.

Did you do ANYTHING else other than replace the coils? What coils were replaced?

turn off your boost protection, or control your boost within your threshold better.
