Post My Almost Complete 1.8 Turbo Kit

Good Morning,

This is my first post on MiataTurbo.net and I think it is about time since I almost have my full turbo kit. I have been reading as much as I can here to prepare myself.
Below you will find my turbo kit plan and what part's I have already purchased. Forgive me if I forgot anything.
Few Questions has anyone done a similar type build?
What power did you end up making?
My goal is 250/250 hp/t. Would I achieve this with this build?
Also since I am going T3 will the spool be hurt significantly? Roughly when will I be hitting boost?
And lastly what BOV/Wastegate should I get? Any bad reviews from the 25$ eBay ones?
Any weak links in my build that I should fix?
Should I rebuild my engine prior to turboing? My car is a 1995 1.8l with 200k miles runs and drives great.

Downpipe (Abe, purchased)
T3 Turbo Manifold (Abe, purchased)
Turbo used garret (0.48 AR Exhaust Housing)
(0.60 A/R Compressor House) (purchased)
BOV (ebay)
Intercooler (purchased)
Intercooler Piping (purchased)
Oil drain lines (purchased)
wastegate (ebay)
clutch 600$ (FM Happy meal)
Boost gauge (ebay)
rx7 460cc or 550 cc injectors (Ebay)
Deatschwerks 165LPH Fuel Pump (FM)
Ms1PnP (Purchased)
Tyrant Fabrication Side exit turbo exhaust. (purchased)
AEM Wideband (purchased)
AEM Oil Pressure/Boost Gauge (Amazon combo) (side note: I really wanted matching color/brand)
Thank you for taking the time to read and answer any questions. Have a great day. ( side note: this is my first turbo build so please excuse any noob mistakes I make/say )

I would go with flow force ev14 injectors.
They are always recommended here, I run them and no issues

Second that.

I would also recommend trying to sell that MS1PNP and getting something closer to MS3 tech if you have the time.

Would you go out and buy a playstation 1 instead of a playstation 4?

Is a ms3 really necessary for a street daily driver? I'll upgrade if it is.

Ms1 and ms2 are no longer supported with software improvement or updates. Ms3 is .

In my opinion, you will be see the benefits of the MS3 more in a street car than a racecar .

Without a doubt this. I know plenty of people who run MS1's on track because it works well enough for running the engine. They don'e have any of the creature comforts that the MS3 excels at. Like badass closed loop idle control and AC control and ****.

Absolutely this. The MSPNP1 in the Red track car is 100% bone stock. The MSPNP1 in the Silver DD has been hacked to pieces and runs software I wrote. So, if you're not into that kind of thing, MS3 all the way on a daily.

In regards to the BOV and WG will a 50-100$ unit from eBay be any good? Iv'e heard some good things and some bad things about them. For budget reasons I thought I could be a little cheap in this category.

there is no 1 answer. most end up working ok, some do not and you have to fix them or replace them.

give it a shot.

Okay Ill keep that in mind when ordering the BOV and WG.
Once I get the rest of my turbo parts I will start the install and build thread. ( ETA 1-2 months )
It will be my first build thread and I hope to not run into to many major issues.
However it will be my first time dealing with tuning and taking my car apart so mistakes will be made.

Will start taking pictures of the parts as they come in and once I have them all I will start the install/build thread.
ARtech manifold and down pipe should be here in a week and then I will just need the injectors and the clutch to start the install.
Saving up for a ms3pnp or pro but I will start the build thread without it.
Should be a relatively slow build thread since I am still waiting on parts and since I will prob encounter some problems being a noob and all.

You need to get the MS3 of some sort before anything else. Install it with a wideband and learn to tune with the engine naturally aspirated. The likely hood of you blowing up your engine is far smaller this way.

Would I be able to learn to tune on a ms1 naturally aspirated then upgrade to ms3 when the turbo goes in?
Would it make a difference if I learned on the ms1 compared to the ms3?
