Do you have any pics of the modified intake manifold for the extra fuel rail? Very interested in the individual extra injector setup.

Here are some some fotos from my engine bay, and the modified intake manifold

That settles it, I am going to Greece the next time I am in Italy. Rides?
|
What's the vacuum line off the manifold going into?
|
WOW! That's some blue bling!!! I really like it. It's very clean... and really simple. We need dyno graphs!!!
I think I see that vacuum line running down to his wastegate... you can see it pretty clear in the third pic. What kind of WG is that? And you'd better get religious about heat shielding in there or you're gonna melt stuff! |
320cc + 230cc = 550cc which are common, why not just go with a lot less complication and get a set of 550's or bigger?
|
Probably can't run 550cc injectors with the Emanage Blue. Buying the 8 smaller injectors is probably cheaper than buying the 550cc injectors.
Ultimately I think this is a perfect solution when running a piggy back. |
interesting setup probably a nightmare to tune. i like the idea of leaving the stock 230s alone and using the other injectors to add needed fuel
|
Wow, that looks great! And your name fits after seeing the size of your turbo! :bigtu:
As for tuning, his setup, while more complicated in terms of wiring and the extra rail, should actually be easier to tune. Off boost the stock ECU controls everything with the stock injectors so nothing has changed or needs to be done, and in boost the emanage simple retards timing and adds fuel to the extra set of injectors. It actually makes the off boost tuning that you usually need for much larger injectors non-existent so no lumpy idle or off boost issues. |
could I use my dsm 450's like this with the emanage? as the secondary injectors? they are just sitting in my garage lol
how does that fuel rail attach to the additional injectors? I dont see a bracket or is it somthing else? |
I like the extra injectors, thought about doing that down the road instead of the common 550's as to avoid idle problems and low speed crap sometimes associated with that. In fact its the same thing FM used to do with the NB FM2 kits a while back and it seemed to work pretty good for them.
hmmmmm |

2.Driveability 3.Because I still have the stock ECU in my miata using piggyback solution, I prefer to have the extra fuel I need on boost situations, from an extra 4inj. so my ECU has no relation to my extra needs of fuel. Sorry but I can't explain exactly what I want to say. |

The real reason is what I said in the previous post!

We have made some little changes at off boost situation (advance timing and some changes to the additional inj.) and at boost we are using the sub inj. map and the other 2 maps for retard the timing and addit. inj. |
Nice Job, I was once going to do this, but at the time the second fuel rail scared me and I went to a standalone with 550's. Glad it works well for you.
