Jeez, haha i searched day and night but that didnt tell me what to search for. The turbo has an internal wastegate and im getting an HKS SSQV for my BOV. My budget is 1600. For some reason everyone took the 300 dollar emanage and just tripled that. I guess the chinacooler would work. I may end up getting the turbo off an sr20
thanks for the help guys, i hope to have some pics before too long

the last price mentioned was $300. you then said that is 1/3 of your budget. so it seems to reason that one would triple the 1/3 to come up with the total. but i learned math back in the 70' & 80's before all this new fangled feel good fuzzy math stuff so maybe i'm out of touch.

i kinda lost interest after buying the BEGi Turbo intake manifold from MikeF85. I haven't installed that yet though and am still considering trying out the gutted manifold. Most likely I will get the BEGi mani installed just in time for the April 5th dyno day so who knows. Maybe later. Maybe on my other car. Maybe on Artie's car since he bought my spare 99 head.

i said the 700 for my ms was 1/3 not the 300 for the emanage. I am complete newbsauce to turbocharging, thats why i asked for help. I looked at all the other threads and couldnt find a couple answers which were answered here. thanks guys. this is a really good forum and i hope to get involved as my experience gets a little less on the n00b side.

No shame in the BEGI S kit either, in your budget, one stop shopping, proven, and once you've gotten your feet wet, great base to learn from, easily upgradable.

DIY also takes some fabrication skills or at least a couple of tools. and opportunity to buy new tools What is your tool budget like?

Also without a good clutch ~$400.00 You'll be stuck around 150RWHP anyway..

Again, not affiliated...

To be fair, he could build a kit DIY for little money if he is patient and willing to do work himself.

I have my kit all together, minus installation and expected midpipe. I spent less than 1000.

I have all really nice quality parts, and Megasquirt managing everything. Gave me extra room in my budget to get an intake manifold...although I haven't exactly gotten a good clutch combo yet, but the turbo isn't going on till after I graduate in May anyway.
