not buying it. its a great manifold, i just dont understand the concept behind it, when a straight flange would be technically easier

actually, with the twist, you get a better angle coming off the cold side of the turbo for charge piping to clear the #2 runner that wraps around #1. if it were straight, the outlet on the compressor side of the turbo would be pointing almost directly parallel with the #1 runner and you would have less room to work with. it also creates a direct route for the inlet of the cold side straight toward the headlight for a cold air setup. the flange is also further towards the front of the car than the etd manifold i saw, which makes much more room for a dp.

this mock up pic shows what i'm talking about:

i'm not familiar with all the other manifold designs out there for miatas and really only looked at the etd that marlon had on the car. i feel comfortable this manifold would outperform the etd manifold, as well as out live it. and at a price of $850 with a lifetime warranty can you really argue with that?

Bloody nice piece of fabrication. We would be proud to market such a nice part.

One of our yet unsolved problems with our current tube manifold is getting enough feed to the wastegate from all four cylinders. We simply made the collector too short for all four to have equal access to the gate. I'm not sure of the proportions needed, but keep an eye on it.

thanks.

i try keeping the collector outlet as close to the turbo flange as possible to help. otherwise, a second wastegate would work, but space may not allow it! a lot of guys building 2jz supra manifolds are having boost creep issues with only one gate.

seeing wastegate priority manifolds is a rare thing altogether, especially in engine bays with little to no room for imagination.

Coming from hondas there were many people making awesome manifolds that were efficient and creatively showed the welder's/fabricator's skills. This is the first manifold I have seen that also looks like a work of art! Good job Weirtech
